      <description>&lt;p&gt;Payroll Administrator Belgium Location:&amp;nbsp; Breda Date posted:&amp;nbsp; 06-02-2012 Job id:&amp;nbsp; 1498365 Business Segment Corporate Finance &amp; Operating Components About Us X Role Summary/Purpose To provide professional &amp; proactive payroll administration support to the GE businesses as part of the Employee Services HR team in Europe Essential Responsibilities • Develop a strong working relationship with the GE HR community through timely and accurate administration of HR processes, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements &amp; any service issues • Responsible for the preparation and processing of payroll for various legal entities in accordance with fixed deadlines • Calculating and entering all payroll-related data into the payroll system • Establish/maintain employee records; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; • Deal with all customer enquiries in a professional, courteous &amp; timely manner • Preparation of social security reporting and payments • Preparation of tax reporting and payments • Preparation of year-end reporting • Liaise with the local authorities regarding queries • Preparation of statistic reporting • Proactively telephone HR partners &amp; customers to ensure timely resolution of payroll transactions • Ensure compliance with internal regulations and external legislation • Participating in internal &amp; external payroll audits • Deliver on commitments, manage expectations &amp; keep customers informed on progress – taking clear accountability and ownership throughout the process • Support GBS account reconciliation on a quarterly basis – provide supported and documented explanation and analysis of ending balance of a general ledger account • Liaise with 3rd party payroll vendors • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity • Maintain HR Oracle database • Actively seek customer feedback &amp; use it to improve our service offering • Consistently follow defined payroll processes, challenging steps that may not make sense / add value • Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements.
