Blizzard Entertainment Europe is seeking a talented data analyst to manage and execute business intelligence, and data analysis on our various databases. The data analyst will have solid analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into meaningful conclusions. The successful candidate will execute sophisticated quantitative and qualitative analysis, modeling, and reporting to translate data into clear information and guidelines for action. This position requires familiarity with database structures in online paying services.

Responsibilities

Develop, and prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports.
Analyze, and validate data using SQL queries.
Maintain the data repository.
Communicate findings to management and other interested parties.
Coordinate with the financial, marketing, and development teams, as well as with database analysts.

Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MYSQL)
Strong knowledge of SQL
Knowledge and experience related to one or more of following: computer science, business administration, or a strong quantitative focus
Basic knowledge of statistics, and general analytical methods (lift, variance, pro rata, etc.)
Business or financial reporting and analysis experience interpreting complex data, including using advanced Excel features (pivot tables, complex formulas, and statistical analysis)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in business intelligence, customer relationship management (CRM), data mining, database marketing, or analytics consulting
Knowledge of ETL tools, such as SSIS and Pentaho Data Integration
Knowledge of reporting software packages, such as Cognos, or Business Objects
Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter approach to work with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives, and take on more responsibility
Basic knowledge of subscription based business models
Basic knowledge of online marketing
Knowledge of the video gaming industry
Fluency in English
